Find three people that are selling a similar digital product
This isn’t copying it’s called market research and it’s totally ethical.
You are going to create a different product but you are using their product to prove your concept.
Your product will fill any gaps that other products are missing and fill them in. That’s what will make your product irresistible.
One mistake I see people make all the time is trying to be too unique. If you can’t find anyone selling it, there’s a really good chance that it’s not a profitable idea.
The name of the game is to find a digital product that is already being sold, make it your own, and fill in any gaps that you think would be relative to your ideal client.
Create an email opt-in that sums up your idea in one single pdf & promote it
Once you’ve brainstormed your digital product idea, create a simple overview of it in a pdf format.
Think of things like, a cheat sheet or starter kit and offer it to your audience in exchange for their email address.
Don’t overthink this step. It doesn’t need to be super in-depth. It just needs to be a quick overview of the topic.
Promote the freebie to your email list every day for 30 days to see if people are interested.
If you can get people to sign up for a shorter version of your digital product idea, it’s a good sign that they will buy your digital product on that topic.
Check Udemy to see what products are selling for and how many people are buying similar options
Udemy is basically the Netflix of digital courses. There are courses on topics in every niche.
Do some research to see what is working, how much it is selling for, and what is included in its content. This data is gold!
This is just another way to prove your idea is legitimate and people are willing to pay for it.

Create 20 pieces of content promoting your email opt-in and see how they do
The most important aspect of your digital product is the content you create that promotes it.
I always recommend creating 20 pieces of content that answer every question you can think of surrounding digital products.
If you are getting traction on these content pieces, then it’s another indication that your product will do well.
Don’t forget to promote your email opt-in within every single post. The more email addresses you gather before you launch your digital product, the better outcome you will have.
Pull Your Audience
Take pulls and surveys to ask your audience (or in-person friends that may be interested) particular questions about your topic and idea.
No matter how tempting it is to create a digital product based off what you think people want, don’t do it.
Take time to get to know your following and how you can serve them and then create a digital product that does exactly that.
I have gotten some of my best copy from pulling my audience.
In Conclusion:
Find three people that are selling a similar digital product
Remember that if it’s not already being done, it’s probably not a profitable idea.
Create an email opt-in that sums up your idea in one single pdf & promote it
Email marketing is still a thing and people primarily buy through email.
Check Udemy to see what products are selling for and how many people are buying similar options
This is another great sight to do market research.
Create 20 pieces of content promoting your email opt-in and see how they do
Content is what will sell your digital product. A good way to test it out is to create 20 pieces of content surrounding the topic that you want to create a digital product and see how your audience reacts to it.
Pull Your Audience
Always always always lead by pulling your audience.
